General Summary:
The Senior Reimbursement Analyst coordinates and provides senior level expertise and support for Northern Indiana hospitals’ governmental reimbursement activities. The Senior Reimbursement Analyst provides maintenance, analysis, documentation, and quality review of the third-party reimbursement matters including completion of annual cost reports, analyses of reimbursement impact for its respective regional facilities.


 


Essential Job Functions/Competencies Medicare/Medicaid Reporting • Prepares, analyzes and reviews Franciscan Alliance's annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for accuracy and makes recommendations to optimize Franciscan Alliance's reimbursement under the Medicare/Medicaid program regulations.
Report Compilation Coordination • Coordinates the compilation of regulatory reimbursement reports, tax reports/filings, and other various financial compliance reports.
Third Party Payer Reimbursement • Reviews and analyzes future third party payer reimbursement trends and contractual allowance projections to ensure accurate budget preparation.
Service line Support • Provides financial analysis and support, monitors assigned service line activity and assists service line director and staff with annual budget preparation.


 


Certifications, Licensures or Registry Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred or Healthcare Financial Management Association Certification (HFMA) Preferred Educational Requirements
Educational Requirements Specialization/Program of Study/Exceptions Preferred/Required
Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance Required Master's Degree Accounting or Finance Preferred


Required Qualifications :

5 years Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement in a hospital environment or consulting firm environment. Required
3 years
Medicare and Medicaid cost report preparation experience. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong communication, analytical, management/supervisory skills.
Required
3 years Multi-hospital health system experience. Public accounting experience. Medicare FI/MAC experience. Preferred
