Job Description :
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients of all ages in a personalized and compassionate manner, while adhering firmly to HIPAA guidelines. The ED nurse is responsible to assess patients; plan and evaluate their care; educate the patient and family as needed; utilize appropriate resources to optimize patient care and patient flow; follow the Medical Center's pain assessment policy by assessing the complaint of pain and assisting with management of pain; participate in the Medical Center's patient safety/risk management program, as well as Quality Improvement. The RN is responsible for directing and overseeing the activities of assistive personnel.

BLS - required
ACLS - required
NIHSS - required
PALS - required
TNCC - required
CPEN - preferred
ACLS - required
NIHSS - required
PALS - required
TNCC - required
CPEN - preferred
Required education: Graduation from an approved registered nursing program.
Required licensure: Current licensure by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
Required experience: 2 years
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
