Intellapro is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Tech for a 13-week assignment in the Operating Room (OR) at our medical facility in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is set up with the necessary equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Requirements:
- Certified Surgical Technologist
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Active Virginia Surgical Technologist license at the time of submission
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare staff.
